Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine has a unique style that blends R&B with gospel, soul music, and R&B. Avery Sunshine's performances have been on Broadway as well as at various festivals across Europe. She has also performed at the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was born Denise White. She hails from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her career in music by playing piano and singing in the church. In Atlanta, she attended Spellman College where her musical training began on the Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The single which featured her vocals"Stalk You a House 12 was only released in Japan. It's been remixed many times, and has become a staple of her live shows. She also contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. She was the main pianist for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her vocals, asked Sunshine to join the Dreamgirls production at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine became the focus of interest during four consecutive performances during the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was subsequently invited to sing at the inauguration of President Obama in 2009.
